Triglav, calendar 2013

Katera si nebi želela svojega čopiča vrteti po moških telesih? 

In to ne po katerikoli telesih, temveč po mišičastih hokejistih, ki so se slekli za koledar zavarovalnice Triglav za leto 2013.  

Lahko si le predstavljate koliko smeha je bilo v maskirnici, ko je bilo namesto čopiča zaradi prevelikih površin potrebno začeti uporabljati roke;) Jaaaaa, s Sašo sva jih morali NATANČNO "našminkati" po celem telesu:)

Daleč najbolj zabaven fotošuting! (Prijateljica Melita mi še danes zavida;)

**Which girl wouldn't want to work the brush all over men's bodies? 

And  not just  any bodies. Bodies that belong to our muscular slovenian hockey players, that took their clothes off for the year 2013 calendar of the Insurance company Triglav.

Can you just imagine the laughter in the make up room, when we had to start using our hands instead of the brush. It was just to much ''meat'' to work on! Yessss, Saša and me had to do the make up VERY ACCURATELY all over their bodies:)

It was the most fun photoshooting in a while! ( My friend Melita is still all green of envy;)

London College of Fashion

Na ulicah Londona je mogoče videti nešteto različnih ljudi.

Lahko bi samo sedela ob oknu, srkala čaj z mlekom in opazovala mimoidoče.
Toliko različnih obrazov, barv, nakita, vzorcev, dišav, zadimljenih oči, spletenih las, detajlov, jezikov, čevljev, barvitih ustnic, da se jih nisem in nisem mogla nagledati.

Po dobrih treh tednih, ko sem že mislila, da me ne more nič več presenetiti, sem prvič obiskala London College of Fashion.
Ne samo da sem sedela, obračala glavo in potihem kričala od navdušenja.. . tudi usta sem verjetno imela na široko odprta in oči izbuljene, možgani pa so si poskušali zapomniti vse te variacije črnine!

Ljubka, s soncem obsijana črna mačka (katere so se razveselili, jo božali, fotografirali vsi mimoidoči študentje) je stražila vhodna vrata, jaz pa sem čakala na Victorio, da mi pokaže pot do maskirnice :)

Veliko hodnikov, stopnic, ovinkov in vrat.. . potem pa so se odprla vrata v raj.
Raj na zemlji.
Čista, urejena, velika, napolnjena z ogledali, okroglimi lučkami, barvami, čopiči, pigmentki, senčili, šminkami, študenti.. . Maskirnica!

Dobila sem svoj delovni prostor, uredila Michael-a in se navdušena nad dnevom, mimo črnih mačk, odpravila domov.

Streets of London are floaded with countless different types of people/styles.

Day after day I could spend my time just sitting on the bank of my window, sipping a cup of tea with milk and observing numerous people that are passing by.

So many unique faces, colours, jewelry, shapes, prints, perfumes, shades of smokey eyes, braided harstyles, detailes, languages, shoes, flashy and colourful lips. I just couldn't get enough of it.

After the third week living in London, when I almost thought nothing else can possibly surprise me anymore, I enroled to London College of Fashion.

The state of mind that I was in...It wasn't just about me sitting there, turning and spining my head around like crazy and my mind that was screaming with enthusiasm.. . I had my big owl eyes on, my jaw dropped and my brain trying to memorize all the shades of black!

Infront of the College, right at the entrance was a cute black cat beamed with sunlight. It guarded the front door and all the students where obsessed with her, taking photos, caressing her, and I stood there and wait for Victoria to show me the way to the make up room.

So many hall ways, stairs, turns and doors... and after all that finaly doors to heaven. Heaven on earth.

Clean, crisp, neat, big, ful of mirrors and big lights, and all the colours, brushes, pigments, eye shadows, lipsticks, students... Make up studio!

I was assined to my working space, took creative care of Michael and went back home ful of joy and happines, passing the black cat.

Make-up show by Alex Box

Last week I went to a make-up show.

But it wasn’t just any makeup show; it was a show by master make-up artist Alex Box, Illamasqua’s Creative Director!

Need I tell you how much I admire her work? So I think you can imagine that I was super excited when I went to see the show! I guess you could compare it with favourite band concert including the backstage pass!!

The event was inspired by David Bowie, so I knew there will be colours. But knowing that I will be given a chance to see how she creates her masterpiece work from “blank canvas” to every last little detail LIVE (!!!) was the most exciting part!

There were three looks prepared on a display (face-charts with makeup to create the certain look), but of course she let her imagination flow, so the final look just slightly reminded of the chart. She began her first look with contouring in natural tones, but suddenly the look became more dramatic and eighties came on the surface.

The three David Bowie Inspired looks: Lightning Bolt, Magenta Muse and Labyrinth.

Next look was bursting with colours; purple, gold, silver, pearl, blue, black…and of course glitter! The secret to the look could be easily summarized as “lot of blending, shading and highlighting”, but that’s just not all. There’s magic in it and knowledge and loads and loads of experience, so I could never describe it with words.

What impressed me the most is that she can work with both hands equally good and the perfect symmetry as a final result.

When she finished the second look she answered some questions and she said that her inspiration since she was teenager was and still is Francisco Bacon. I think that says it all.

In the end she took a minute to chat and take a picture with every single one of us. She’s such an amazing person with so much positive energy!

I am now inspired and recharged for a while. Thank you Alex Box for such an amazing experience.

Lola's night out

Sixties inspired photoshooting took place in one of London's beautiful, newly refurbished pubs, based on Shoreditch High Street, which had just the colours we needed for this project. 

Like in sixties, makeup is focused on eyes, while lips stay nude. But of course I couldn't stay away from adjusting the look and trying to make it little more natural, soft and up to date, so I left out the false lashes and refused to draw the ones on bottom lid. Now my Lola is ready to rock!

Red lipstick

Fotkanje s prelepo Jano, ki je večer prej dobila herpes na ustnici. Sprva me je zagrabila panika, potem je "moteči faktor" postal izziv, ki se ga da obleči tudi v rdečo šminko :)

**Beautiful Jana got a herpes on her upper lip just the evening before fotoshooting. At first I panicked, 
but then this little problem became a real challenge, which can be covered even with red lipstick :)

Lepo nanesena rdeča šminka popestri kakršenkoli videz in se mi zdi popolna "pika na i" za praznične dni. Glede na to, da se v teh dneh veliko poljubljamo in vas verjetno skrbi, kako bo šminka zdržala do konca večera, vam ponujam popolno rešitev: LIPSTICK FIXER!

Po tem, ko izrišete ustnice s črtalom in natančno nanesete šminko, jih prelakirate še s fikserjem. Vonj je ob nanosu sicer malce neprijeten, ampak se tekočina v parih sekundah posuši in vonj popolnoma izgine, šminka pa ostane na svojem mestu cel dan. Za večji sijaj čez nanesite brezbarven gloss za ustnice, ki pa ob poljubljanju ne bo puščal barvnih sledi ;)

**I think that nice and carefully applied red lipstick gives you a perfect look for festive days. Considering there is a lot of kissing at this time of year, you are probably worried about the lipstick staying on until the end of the night. I am offering you a perfect solution: LIPSTICK FIXER!

At first you need to define your lips with lip pencil. Then carefully apply lipstick, cover it with fixer and you are ready to party all day and night long :) For more shine you can apply clear lip gloss which won't leave red marks while kissing ;)
